Cancellation, Return & Refund Policy

1. Purpose & Scope

This Cancellation, Return & Refund Policy ("Policy") explains how TransWord.AI manages plan cancellations, downgrades, and refund requests. It applies to all paid plans, add-ons, and promotional offers purchased directly from TransWord.AI in addition to our Terms of Use.

2. Plans Covered by This Policy

The following purchase types are governed by this Policy:

  • Monthly and annual TransWord.AI subscriptions billed by TransWord.AI.
  • Usage-based add-ons such as additional document credits or premium translation packs.
  • Introductory or promotional offers activated through the TransWord.AI dashboard.

Purchases made through third-party marketplaces are subject to that provider's refund rules. Please contact the third party directly for assistance.

3. Cancellation Windows

You can cancel at any time from your account dashboard. When you cancel:

  • Monthly plans remain active until the end of the current billing period.
  • Annual plans remain active through the paid term unless a refund is approved.
  • Pending downgrades take effect on the next renewal date unless you request earlier deactivation.

4. How to Cancel or Downgrade

To cancel a subscription or downgrade to a lower tier:

  • Navigate to Settings > Billing in your TransWord.AI dashboard.
  • Select the plan you wish to manage and choose Cancel or Downgrade.
  • Follow the on-screen confirmation to complete the request.

If you encounter any issues while cancelling in-app, contact our support team so we can complete the request on your behalf.

5. Refund Review Process

Refund requests are reviewed individually. To qualify, your request should include:

  • The email address associated with your TransWord.AI account.
  • The billing reference or invoice number for the transaction in question.
  • A brief description of the technical or billing issue you experienced.

Requests submitted more than 14 days after the charge date or showing substantial feature usage may be denied.

6. Pro-Rated Credits

In situations where a refund is not granted, we may offer an account credit instead. Credits are issued at our discretion and may be applied when:

  • A cancellation occurs shortly after renewal but does not meet refund criteria.
  • You experience a service disruption acknowledged by TransWord.AI.
  • You switch to a lower tier and request the remaining balance as credit toward future invoices.

7. Non-Refundable Scenarios

We generally cannot issue refunds for the following situations:

  • Charges incurred before the cancellation request was submitted.
  • Accounts suspended due to Terms of Use or Acceptable Use Policy violations.
  • Partially used subscription periods or unused usage credits.
  • Services purchased from resellers or payment providers outside TransWord.AI.

8. Processing Timeline

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Depending on your payment provider, it may take 5–10 business days for funds to appear in your account. We will send an email confirmation once the refund or credit has been processed.

9. Billing Disputes & Chargebacks

Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute may delay resolution and could result in temporary account suspension. Please contact us first so we can investigate and respond before a dispute is filed with your bank or payment provider.
